One-day-only exhibition: Madeleine Hatz "Wallpaper for a Queen: Destroyed"

  • Galleri Duerr 6 Hudiksvallsgatan Stockholm, Stockholms län, 113 30 Sweden (map)

Galleri Duerr is a contemporary art gallery located since April 2022 in the gallery district at Hudiksvallsgatan in Stockholm and is owned and managed by Deborah Duerr. The gallery specializes in showcasing both Swedish and international artists, well-established and emerging, spanning a diverse array of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, design, and performance arts. Following our relocation to the Garnisonen area in 2018, and thereafter to Hudiksvallsgatan in 2022, our programming has expanded and the gallery now presents over 10 curated exhibitions each year. Galleri Duerr is a member of the Swedish Gallery Association. Deborah Duerr serves as both a current board member of the gallery association and a former board member of Design Sweden.

This is the aftermath of a performance in which the painting Wallpaper for a Queen, from 2021, was vandalized and, in this transformative act, emerged anew.

At 6 pm, curator Jonatan Habib Engqvist engages in a conversation with artist Madeleine Hatz about the piece, a reflection of a performance exploring the theme of Blood and Oil.
